Q. When I send my material to you, will I get a notification of arrival?

A. Yes, you will receive an initial automated message from our system upon arrival of your material.  Then, you will receive a further email telling you the weight of the material and also the internal reference number we have allocated to your consignment.  This is the number we use to uniquely identify your material.

Q. Can I send a representative in to be present during the sampling of my materials?

A. Yes, we allow reps in to ensure both parties are satisfied with the sampling process.

Q. Can I conduct my own independent analysis if desired?

A. Yes you can but it's important that you analyse our sample (taken during the sampling process) and then if required we can do a formal exchange of analysis.

Q. How long do I have to wait to receive my sampling results?

A. When we receive your material our sampling technicians prepare a sample which needs to be a homogenous representative sample.  This is then analysed by our onsite labs who will firstly do a preliminary scan (an XRF) to give a guide of the metal constitution of your material.  The time taken for this will depend upon the nature of your material but should be completed within 48 hours.

A second scan (an ICP) is then carried out by our labs which gives a more accurate set of results.

Q. What happens if I don't agree with your sampling results?

A. Contested results can be resolved by a third party provided we have done a formal exchange of analysis.  The cost of the 'umpire' will be borne by the party whose results are furthest from the third party's.

Q. Can I have a sample returned to myself?

A. Yes, you can have a sample sent to you as long as you request it prior to sampling so that it can be extracted during the sampling procedure.

Q. When will I be paid for my material?

A. Payment will be made by BACS payment two days after pricing request, provided we have the XRF scan results.

Q. Do you have MSDSs for your products?

A.  Yes, these are available upon request.
